Our Board of Directors

Nine Tozitna shareholders serve on the Tozitna Board of Directors. Each person is elected by the shareholders for a three year period. An individual must be a shareholder of Tozitna, Limited and at least eighteen (18) years old to be eligible to serve on the Board.

Jacqueline Edwin

Jacqueline grew up in Tanana, Alaska and currently lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. She is the daughter of John & Lois Huntington of Tanana and the granddaughter of the late Lee and Marian Edwin and the late Sidney and Jenny Huntington.

Elizabeth Captain

Elizabeth grew up in Tanana, Alaska and currently lives in Ruby, Alaska. She is the daughter of Reverend Helen Peters and the late Hardy Peters of Tanana and Kokrines. Elizabeth is married to Arnold Captain, Jr. and has four children: Gareth, Ricky, Jena and Tori.

Selina J. Sam

Selina grew up in Tanana, Alaska, and currently lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. She is the youngest child of the late William and Janice Sam and the granddaughter of the late Frank and Elma Sam and the late Roy and Pinky Folger and has one son, Timothy.

Angela Folger

Angela grew up in Tanana, Alaska and now lives in Fairbanks, Alaska and is the daughter of Bernadette Roberts and Andy Folger. She has two sons: six-year-old Blake Austin and the late Mason Ray. Angela’s maternal grandparents are the late Lawrence and Josephine Roberts and her paternal grandparents are the late Roy and ‘Pinky’ Folger.

Audrey George

Audrey currently lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. She is the daughter of Doug “Trapper” McCotter and the late Harriet McCotter. Audrey is married to Warren George of Nulato and they have four children: Jazmine, Maverick, Bella and Brayden.

Nina Heyano

Nina was born and raised in Tanana, Alaska and currently lives in Fairbanks, Alaska. She is the youngest daughter of Alfred Miller and the late Mary Starr. Nina is married to William “Sonny” Carlo III and has two daughters, Josie and Rosa.

Daphne L Huntington

Daphne was raised Tanana, Alaska and currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska. She is the daughter of John and Lois Huntington of Tanana, her maternal grandparents are the late Lee and Marian (Antoski) Edwin of Tanana and her paternal grandparents are the late Sidney and Jenny (Luke) Huntington of Galena/Koyukuk.

Cynthia (Cindy) R. Johnson

Cindy is a lifelong resident of Tanana, Alaska. She is the daughter of the late Donald and Liza Johnson, both of Tanana and both original Tozitna shareholders. Cindy married her high school sweetheart, James Roberts, and they are raising their sons in Tanana.

Georjeana Wallace

Georjeana grew up in Tanana, Alaska, lives in both Sitka, Alaska and at her family home on Basco Island, 18 miles below Tanana on the south bank of the Yukon River. Georjeana is the daughter of the late David and Emily Elia and granddaughter of the late Maggie Elia Sport. She is married to Greg Wallace and has four children; Ashley, Rena, Anesha and Lorianne and three grandchildren; Olivia, Devin and Finnian.
